I'm trying to locate an animal shelter in Santa Fe operated
by Kate Rindy who has taken in a multitude of animals left lost,
abandoned & homeless as a result of the fires. I'm want to see
how the animals she has rescued are doing and how many she has
either been able to reuinite w/ owners and/or find homes for.
Your guest book seems to provede the best means of finding out.
Thanks.

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - For Bruce Buck, a diamond wasn't forever.
A 9.72-carat diamond tumbled from the janitor's vacuum cleaner
as he emptied it in February after cleaning carpets in an office
building. He thought it was costume jewelry because of its size
and took it home so his children could play with it. But then
he looked at it in the light and wondered. Since diamonds cut
glass, Buck gave it a try on his bathroom mirror. "I cut
the snot out of that mirror, then I cut the window with it, too,"
he said. His girlfriend persuaded him to take it to a jeweler,
and he found out it was real. Buck, 41, said he "went crazy
for two weeks" before turning the diamond over to the police.
Buck eventually got a call from Assistant City Attorney Mark
Allen, who told him that in New Mexico, the law isn't "finder's
keepers." State law says property worth more than $50 that
is left with police and unclaimed by the true owner for 90 days
has to be sold at a public auction. Police estimated that the
diamond Buck found is worth about $19,000. Last month, Buck's
lawyer, Kathrin Kinzer Ellington, sent the city a letter saying
that if police can't find the real owner, Buck wants the diamond
back. Ellington said she's prepared to go to court to prevent
the jewel from being auctioned.

June 25, 2000 RE: Press Release on New Environmentally Safe
Technology for Dust Control (TOP-SEAL Liquid Soil Sealant and
Stabilizer) The process of using plain water to control dust
is a never-ending expensive task that offers little more than
a few hours of return on your investment. The futility of wasting
time, money, and precious water resources is increased when lapses
between applications often allow for the escape of new clouds
of dust and contamination into the environment. The frustration
of living in a dirty filthy atmosphere becomes a way of life
in spite of a full-time campaign to control dust on a daily basis.
Employees and nearby residents are forced to inhale the contamination,
equipment becomes clogged and dirty, administrative areas and
paperwork are constantly layered with dust, and local traffic
is endangered. Working and living environments should not be
subjected to the hazards and irritation of dust pollution, and
employers should not be constantly fighting a losing battle,
particularly in a time when the EPA is becoming more aggressive
in the enforcement of stricter laws involving compliance with
PM standards. Fighting dust pollution with plain water is a wasteful
outdated method of dealing with a problem that can be much more
easily and less expensively solved by simply signing on to a
maintenance program with TOP-SEAL Liquid Soil Sealant and Stabilizer.
With TOP-SEAL, dust is significantly reduced or eliminated with
an initial application, and it is permanently kept under control
with occasional reapplications on an "as-needed basis. In
comparison with plain water treatments, which begin evaporating
immediately after dispersion into the soil, the wearing factor
for TOP-SEAL is very gradual and re-applications can be made
easily and inexpensively in plenty of time to avoid reemergence
of new contamination. Traffic areas will initially require reapplications
on a regular basis, while non-traffic areas will remain virtually
dust free with reapplications needed only on occasions when dust
has blown in from other areas. Reapplications of TOP-SEAL will
bond with previous ones, thereby dramatically reducing the frequency
of requirements for future treatments. Ultimately, a tremendous
value will be realized in the cost savings over water truck operations,
the quality of the working environment will become significantly
enhanced, and total compliance will be made with EPA regulations.
It is estimated that the TOP-SEAL dust control program will save
at least 50 percent over a five-year period. After the initial
application during the first year, the average savings during
subsequent years can reach as high as 55 to 60 percent. Pursuant
to new EPA dust-control regulations and the process of using
water to control dust on unpaved roads, vacant areas, and other
disturbed lands, this letter is to inform you of a product that
can save your state, county and city huge tax dollars in controlling
dust. If you are interested in getting the facts on this technology,
please call, write, fax or email me (sci2000@vvm.com) contact
me and I will be more than happy to provide you with all the
information needed. Sincerely, Douglas R. Mandrell Senior Vice

of economy, Alberto Bensión trusts tax reductions and
fiscal benefits for investment will better the economy. In spite
of that, Bensión said the economic reactivation depends
on the unpredictable regional economic environment. Opposition
parties demand solutions for the indebted productive sectors
(US$ 460 millions), and deeper measures to bring down the high
unemployment rate (11.5%). EL OBSERVADOR Population support the

Furthermore, yesterday the president told the deans of the University
of the Republic it was his moral obligation to solve the matter
before he ends his term. University of the Republic needs funds

Bank informed local companies export applications (worth US$
600.7 millions) grew 10.1% between January and March compared
to last year´s same period. Furthermore, the Exporters
Union confirmed foreign sales worth US$ 594.7 millions (18.5%
more than 1999´s activities) during the past three months
According to the official data this exporting push was enhanced
by a 28.4% increase of meat sales. Export of transport materials
(70.1% larger than 1999´s period) influenced the boost.
Between January and March sales of milling , textile, leather
and chemical products increased. Agriculture, machinery, electrical
household appliances and food exports declined. Brazil was Uruguay´s
main buyer, acquiring 23.2% of the exports. Argentina held second
place (18%) followed by the United States (6.7%) and Chile (6.1%).
In this period fifteen countries absorved 84.4% of the country´s
exports. REGIONAL NEWS Argentina and Brasil will not sign bilateral
agreement before talking with Uruguay Argentinian and brasilian
authorities understood Uruguay´s annoyance for their bilateral
agreement and decided not to sign Mercosur´s car importation
policies before holding negotiations with the latter. The ministers
of industry and energy of Argentina and Brasil will visit their
uruguayan counterpart next May 2 and 3 in Montevideo. Mundell
says a parallel currecy is the best solution for Mercosur 1999
Nobel prize in Economics said "A parallel currency can be
maintained for long periods because one of its main goals is
to keep fixed rates of interest. Thus, the currencies of all
involved states could fluctuate together without changing the
relative value. This would not demand so much coordination and
political cohesion as required by a fixed currency. Chilean court
trys to put an end to Pinochet´s parlamentary priviliges

troops from a 4 749 km (square) area in northern Colombia. Since
this region is rich in oil and gold, the governmetn will seek
peace by all means with the second most powerful guerrilla group
in the country. Ucranian president promises to shut down Chernobyl
nuclear plant Last March, Leonid Kuchma promised the nuclear
