ALBUQUERQUE, March 12th, 2008 – KOAT 7 is pleased to announce that Co-anchor Melissa Mahan will join “Action 7 News Live This Morning.”
New Mexico viewers have relied on Action 7 News and veteran anchor Marisa Maez, Meteorologist Jason Stiff and HealthBeat’s Dr. Barry Ramo to start their day for years. Ms. Mahan will join the team on Monday, April 14th.
“I’m very excited to be joining such a well-respected station,” said Mahan. “KOAT has a great reputation across the country as a news organization and I am thrilled to be joining the team.”
Ms. Mahan comes to KOAT 7 from the ABC affiliate in Providence, RI where she has been anchoring the evening newscasts. She has worked in several markets around the country including San Francisco, CA, Grand Junction, CO and Monroe, LA. She grew up in the San Francisco Bay area and attended the University of California-Santa Barbara.

Christine Jones moves from her temporary assignment in the mornings to join Mike Garofalo as co-anchor of Action 7 News’ evening newscasts on Friday and Saturday. |
